LETTER "T" IN "AGAINST"
"I worked on the "T" in against. I try to think about what "T" represents as I sit in my room listening to some old-fashioned music I was listening to Sam Cooke change is going to come and so I was thinking why not put time for change. Time to stop the violence time to stop discriminating against people, I mean I can go on and on what time can really mean. African American people been waiting for something to happen but nothing really change and we're still stuck in our ways. This is 2020 and we're still going racism today. For example, a Caucasian person that has lower education still has a better chance of getting a job when competing against an African American person that has a master's degree or bachelor's degree simply because of the color of their skin. The girl that's sitting in the chair drinking tea reading her book and looking up into the sky as the clocks ticking down is a reference to the fact that we don't have much time on this earth. I know in the Bible it mentioned love ye one another and I think that's what we should be doing. Yes, this mural says Unite Against Racism but inside it says Black Lives Matter and people feel uncomfortable seeing that some people don't like those words because they think it's a political issue. People need to start addressing these issues and start talking about it and then we can come to a common ground of where we all stand. Time for change don't we all need it? Really think about, I mean really think about it: Time. For. Change.
