"The fist is there to symbolize the perseverance through the battles that we as black people face. We are constantly fighting through turmoil and hardships and always manage to grow and blossom in some way. We are constantly evolving in our given circumstances and make it through so for me the vines wrapping around the fist symbolize that growth and evolvement."
